Limited edition CD re-issue of several Jack Millman west coast jazz all-star sessions from the mid 1950s.The CD features all of the Jazz Studio 5 date originally done for Decca, plus material from a date for Liberty and Era. Collectively the personnel includes Shorty Rogers (listed as "The Prince"), Maynard Ferguson playing v-trombone and Claves (listed as "Tiger Brown"), Herb Geller, Howard Roberts, Buddy Collette, Bob Gordon, Jack Montrose, Gerald Wiggins, Curtis Counce, Shelly Manne, Chico Hamilton Jimmy Giuffre and more. Arrangements are by Bill Holman, Jimmy Giuffre, Shorty Rogers, Pete Rugolo and Johnny Mandel. The cover is a reproduction of the original Decca LP with the title changed to "The Golden Era of West Coast Jazz". This was re-issued in 1995 on the Groove-Time Jazz label in a very limited release.
