Trip Jazz TLP-5544

Undoubtedly, you've heard by now about the great Jam Session that took place in Los Angeles on 8/14/54. (Man, I was 14 months old and living in a suburb of L.A. Why didn't my folks take me???) Anyway, one of the two LPs that came out of that session was called Jam Session, EmArcy MG-36002. (The other was called Dinah Jams, EmArcy MG-36000.) This is the 1970s Trip Jazz re-issue of that MG-36002 album -- a highly collectible, outstanding pressing that was issued in limited quantities. It includes the tracks What is This Thing Called Love, Darn that Dream, Move, My Funny Valentine, Don't Worry Bout Me, Bess You Is My Woman Now, and It Might as Well be Spring. Jammin'!!! Maynard blows the roof off, and Clifford plays perhaps the most lyrical trumpet of his career. This is an absolute MUST for MF collectors, not to mention ALL jazz collectors!
