I'm not sure when "Sketches..." was released. It seems probable
that
it was in 1955, but I have a record collecting book (Goldmine's) that
lists the date as 196?. Obviously they didn't know either, but I don't
see how it could have been in the 60's when the album was completed in
1955.
I'm not sure about the "Collector's..." album. Since it is
a
Creative World album, it had to be released sometime between 1970 and
1978. Of course, the individual tunes on the album came from Capitol
albums that were released from 1950 to 1956 (coincidentally, one of
the tunes, Dark Eyes, was on the "Sketches..."
album).
Comments
This info for "Sketches on Standards" did not come from the album
cover,
but instead came from a book called "Kenton On Capitol & Creative World
A Discography", written by Michael Sparke & Pete Venudor with Jack
Hartley.
