Composed by Gerald Fried, Music Coordinator-Bobby Helfer

Bobby Helfer did a lot of work for Elmer Bernstein in this same time period Composed and Conducted by Gerald Fried, featuring;
Maynard Ferguson, Frank Rosolino (Rosselino) along with an un-named killer west coast jazz orchestra with a pulsating modern jazz original soundtrack through and through Allied Artists movie starring Sal Mineo

SUPER GREAT front cover shows Sal Mineo dressed in jeans and a t-shirt as the young thug delinquent he truly is

Titles: Death In a Warehouse, Reform School, Homecoming, Nightmare Saturday Night, Little Jazz, Meditation, First Love, Defiance, Waiting and Conclusion.

Liner notes read; Dino is the story of a juvenile delinquent and his efforts, through the aid of a social worker (Brian Keith) and a girl with whom he falls in love to rehabilitate himself for a fine place in society. After having participated in a murder during a warehouse robbery and having served 3 years in a house of correction, Dino, only 17, is filled with hate and a rebellious attitude when he comes out of the reformatory as a parolee.

The score is dark and moody jazz with copious amounts of wild abandoned jazz as well

This OST is 1 of the sounds where the phrase "crime jazz/jazz noir" comes from.
